Tickling Tech

You Might Be a Tech Coach IF…

Some teachers do not realize that they are also tech coaches.  They help lift the entire faculty by showing, encouraging, demonstrating how to use #edtech to the best advantage in the school.

With apologies to Jeff Foxworthy, I want to share some of my identifiers of tech coaches.

You might be a tech coach if you use the word “Kahoot” as a verb. For example, I kahooted with my first period and it went really well.

You might be a tech coach if you see a teacher using #edtech in a classroom and you’ve taken a picture, tweeted, & posted to Instagram before 20 seconds have passed.

You might be a tech coach if you tweet weekly.  Ok, maybe daily.  Daily, but I can stop any time.  Maybe I can’t stop.

You might be a tech coach if you know what an <ANY> key looks like and it’s still hilarious.

You might be a tech coach if you give out a Google voice phone number to parents and have for years.

You might be a tech coach if you try to show a teacher a new software/app and it fails…and you smile.

You might be a tech coach if you get so excited about showing a new software/app that the teachers may step back – a little overwhelmed by your enthusiasm.

You might be a tech coach if you think messaging is old-school.

You might be a tech coach if you think 60 apps in 60 minutes is cool & not overwhelming.

You might be a tech coach if you spend a Sunday night practicing with  your children on using a new #edtech app.

Add your additions in the comments section.  This can be fun!
